The image above is the historic Arms of the Board of Ordnance, the shield of which appears on Ordnance Corps badges of most Commonwealth countries. The motto: "Sua Tela Tonanti" can be translated as "to the thunderer, his thunderbolts" or in more contemporary terms; "To the Warrior, his Arms"
